NYCC ’15 Highlight: Diamond Select’s Muppets

This past weekend, I ventured to the craziness that was New York Comic Con 2015. Throughout the weekend, I saw some awesome Disney-themed items coming from some of our friends throughout the collecting realm. First up today…. the newest Muppets items from Diamond Select Toys.

Muppets Minimates

MSRP: $9.99/ pack

Looks like Bunsen and Beaker will be a TRU exclusive 2pk. If I had a guess, I would say they will replace the Swedish Chef pack in regular retail, though that is not confirmed.

Muppets Select

MSRP: $24.99/ pack

In the same scale as their Marvel Select and other lines, the Muppets Select line will be smaller in scale than the popular Palisades Toys line of yesteryear. Each set will include various accessories, similar to the Palisades line. A lot of Palisades’ collectors, myself included, love seeing the appearance of Bean Bunny. The first round of sets coming includes:

Kermit with Bean Bunny and Robin

Fozzie Bear and Scooter

Gonzo the Great and Camilla

Each figure will feature multiple points of articulation, something the Diamond Select lines of action figures are known for. While what we are seeing here are prototypes, expect the same high level of quality that come from their other lines. I am very excited for this line especially, and I am an avid Muppets fan.
