Uncle Scrooge #7 Comic Book Review

Issue #7 of Uncle Scrooge consists of two stories that are both brand new to the US.

Mummy Fearest from Italian Topolino 1109, 1977 and Of Mice and Magic from Dutch Donald Duck 5/1980.

Mummy Feast sees a local billionaire try to get one over the tight fisted Uncle Scrooge in order to get the Money Bin out of his view, resulting in Uncle Scrooge recreating a new larger money bin shaped like an Egyptian pyramid. Of course this doesn’t go down well with his rival who tries to trick Scrooge into dismantling it. Of course nothing goes to plan and there are a few numerous jokes along the way.

The second story sees Magica De Spell try to outwit Uncle Scrooge and his security to steal from the money pit, it was interesting to see magic brought into the story, slightly changing the usual story of someone trying to steal from Uncle Scrooge. It’s another good solid story and it was nice to see a different villain brought in.

This issue also features some variant covers including a excellent image of Uncle Scrooge being scared by the Hatbox Ghost from the Haunted Mansion.

Overall, Uncle Scrooge #7 offers two interesting stories that are very different and a lot of fun as Uncle Scrooge is a unique character and I really enjoyed reading this month’s issue.
