Holiday ’15 Gift Guide: Playmation Accessories by Power A
Earlier this month, I had the opportunity of reviewing the newly released Playmation Starter Pack from Disney Consumer Products and Hasbro. Today, as the holidays draw ever nearer, I take a look at some of the Playmation Accessories that Power A is putting out to go with the Playmation system.
First up, is the Lab Gear Bag.
Playmation Avengers Lab Gear Bag: The Playmation Avengers Lab Gear Bag is the perfect way to take your gear on the road! The durable bag features adjustable dividers that allow multiple configurations to hold everything you need. The standard layout will hold a Repulsor, 2 Activators, an Ultron Prowler Bot, and Smart Figures – with room for more. Use the clip-on shoulder strap to comfortably carry your Playmation gear wherever you go and be ready to make any environment your next battleground!
Yay! No more carrying around my Playmation gear inside the Starter Pack box. For now, it’s sparse looking. I hope to add to the bag for the holidays. I also love the look of this bag. It’s big and bright and fitting for the Playmation system.
In addition to the Lab Gear Bag, Power A has released two rechargeable power packs, one for the Repulsor Gear and one for the Power Activator.
Playmation Repulsor Recharge Pack: The Playmation Repulsor Recharge Pack provides up to 5 hours of play on a single charge! This officially licensed product fits securely onto the bottom of the Repulsor, and includes a USB cable that is 6 feet long for recharging, as well as LED lights that indicate the charge status.
Playmation Activator Recharge Pack: The Playmation Activator Recharge Pack provides up to 10 hours of play on a single charge! This officially licensed product fits securely onto the bottom of the Activator, and includes a USB cable that is 6 feet long for recharging, as well as LED lights that indicate the charge status.
Not much to “review” about these two packs. However, I will say that not having to rely on batteries is a great thing. The packs do fit into the systems nicely, and I appreciate the fact that they included power cables. Only downside? I am not a fan of strict USB charge cords. I would have appreciated the inclusion of an AC outlet adapter, as I personally need them to charge stuff.
Overall, I think these accessories are must haves for any who have the Playmation system. If for no other reason, they make the gameplay better and easier.
Now, for a fun accessory that just looks cool, Power A has also released a Playmation Home Base.
Playmation Home Base:
The Playmation Home Base from PowerA is the perfect way to store your gear in between battles with Ultron’s armies. The Home Base is stylishly decorated with the same visuals found in the Avengers lab and features enough space for 2 Activators, a Repulsor, and a tablet. You will always be ready for your next mission.
For those recruits who are in top Avengers form would really want this Home Base. It looks like something directly from Stark Labs.
