Lucasfilm Closer to Casting Young Han Solo

After reports of Lucasfilm/Disney auditioning thousands of hopefuls, it seems they have now narrowed that down to 8 actors who could play the younger version of lovable rogue, Han Solo, in the 2nd of the anthology movies, that is due out in 2018.

The shortlist contains Miles Teller (Whiplash/Fantastic Four), Ansel Elgort (The Fault in the Stars/Divergent Series), Dave Franco (21 Jump Street/Scrubs), Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction/ Jungle Book:Origins), Scott Eastwood (Fury/Suicide Squad), Logan Lerman (3:10 To Yuma/Percy Jackson Series), Emory Cohen (The Place Beyond The Pines/Smash) and Blake Jenner (Glee/Supergirl).

All these actors fit the age bracket of being younger than Harrison Ford when he first played Solo, though Eastwood would be in his 30’s by the time filming began (Ford was 35 at the time of the release of A New Hope)

The Unnamed Han Solo film will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, with a release date of May 25 2018
