Where’s Rey!

Recently there has been a lot of talk about the lack of Rey merchandise for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, especially when a Monopoly board game was released, missing the main character of the movie and the story went global following a message from a 8 year old girl asking where she was.

Even director J.J. Abram’s recently shared his thoughts on this mistake when talking on the Television Critics Association’s press tour this past weekend.

“I will say that it seems preposterous and wrong that the main character of the movie is not well represented in what is clearly a huge piece of the Star Wars world in terms of merchandizing,

I read that she wasn’t in the Monopoly game and was quickly making phone calls about this because if it were true — and it is true, and now Hasbro, of course, has said they’re going to put Rey in — it doesn’t quite make sense why she wouldn’t be there. She’s somewhat important in the story

However, while it has been wrong for some merchandise like the Monopoly game or some action figure packs, there has been lots of merchandise for Rey.

While there has been a lot of merchandise including Rey, hopefully with the reaction to the Monopoly game we will get more.
