Deadpool Denied A Release In China

While fans are getting excited about the upcoming anti-superhero movie, Deadpool, fans in China won’t be able to enjoy them on the screen as the movie has been denied permission to screen in China due to its violence, nudity and graphic language. While China usually edits R-rated films under its censorship laws which are regulated by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. With the movie having to be suitable for all ages, in the case Deadpool​, cutting it would compromise plot points.

Deadpool hits theaters in the US on February 12th and the 10th in the UK.
