Disney have announced that the Broadway musical “Aladdin” will be going in a national tour across the US from April 2017 and kicks off in Chicago’s Cadillac Palace Theatre. No details have been announced on future stops and the cast will be announced later.

Aladdin has been adapted from the hit Disney animated movie starring the late Robin Williams, and the musical opened on Broadway in March 2014 and has become one of the highest grossing shows in New York.

The show includes many hits from the film — including “Friend Like Me,” ”Prince Ali” and “A Whole New World”.   The show has been directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with sets by Bob Crowley and lighting design by Natasha Katz. Gregg Barnes did the costumes.
