Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool has had the biggest R-Rated movie US box office opening  ever with $135 million.  The movie is also the largest four-day President’s Day weekend debut for a movie ever.  The movie starring Ryan Reynolds has surpassed Fox’s estimation of $60-$65 million.

The movie had a budget of $58 million and with its unique marketing, it has been able to beat box office opening for Man Of Steel and 2002’s Spider-Man.  And with Deadpool launching through February, a time when blockbusters aren’t usually released, it shows there is an audience after a different type of superhero movie and Deadpool is certainly different with its violence, language and 4th wall comedy, staying close to its comic book roots.
