Could A Deadpool Statue Be Erected In Canada?

Following the huge success of Deadpool, Canadian fans are petitioning the country to place a statue of the “Merc With A Mouth” in Regina, Saskatchewan, which is where the anti-hero is hometown. Plus the movie was filmed in Canada and starred Ryan Reynolds, who is also Canadian.

The petition has over 3000 signatures and was originally created by Luke Oliver, and a special effects artist called Emerson Ziffle from WolfCop 2 has expressed interest in creating the statue if the petition gets off the ground however The Regina City Council has yet to respond to the petition and the Mayor has said “Nope”, but the fans are still trying to push forward the plan.
