Marvel’s Dr. Strange First Set Footage

The Marvel Universe is about to get more mystical. Filming is underway for Marvel’s Dr. Strange starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo.

The plot of the movie is not yet known but Dr. Strange’s Marvel origins began in 1963 with his first appearance in Strange Tales issue #110. Doctor Stephen Strange is a brilliant but selfish surgeon whose hands are hurt beyond repair from a automobile accident thus not allowing him to perform as a surgeon again. Strange then embarks on a journey to find ways to heal his hands and on his journeys he learns about the healing powers of the Ancient One leading him to India where he becomes the Ancient One’s pupil.

Thanks to the twitter feed Anything Cumberbatch we have our first set images from London. In this image we can see Dr. Strange wearing his signature red cloak of levitation walking with Baron Mordo.

Hopefully more sneak peeks are on the way. Dr. Strange is set to be released in theaters on November 4th, 2016 and will also star Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton and Mads Mikkelsen.
