Agent Carter Season 2 Finale Recap

We open with a flashback, just 60 seconds before, as Thompson arms the bomb. It knocks everybody outside over. Peggy and the team go inside and find Wilkes who is struggling but no longer controlled by zero mater, which is being absorbed by Whitney Frost.

As they leave they realise Samberly and the car have gone. Just as Frost gets to them a car pulls up driven by Jarvis who hits Frost, and who is accompanied by Howard. Samberly arrive just behind Jarvis and all of them leave.

Sousa and Thompson are getting all of Masters men together at the SSR. Wilkes describes the power in the crack, describing it as a disease. Stark confirms that Wilkes is free from zero matter.

Frost is creating plans for a device, the plans all over her walls. Manfredi wants to get her some food but she needs to work. She is trying to break through and keep the portal open. Manfredi tries to touch her but she warns him not to while she is working.

Manfredi confides in his Noona about his struggles with Frost. He believes something has hold of her. She tells him if he loves her he will deal with it.

Carter wants Stark and Wilkes to make a new cannon, but Stark wants to go one step further and build another containment unit. Carter accuses him of trying to profit from it. Manfredi arrives, takes Jarvis hostage but then sees Stark and embraces him like an old friend.

Manfredi explains that he knows they are all scared of what will happen with Frost and that he knows there is something wrong with her. He believes he can save her from what is inside her and confirms her plans to the team. Carter plans to beat her at her own game and open their own rift, while Howard suggests taking her research but Manfredi says she never leaves the room. Peggy suggests he comes up with a reason to make her leave.

Manfredi returns to find Frost still working away. He claims to need her help interrogate some one, she agrees but it is a ruse on Manfredi’s part as Peggy and Sousa are waiting to get a look at the work.

Manfredi makes out it is one of his guards that needs questioning, but Frost is itching to get back to her work. Manfredi asks her to use her power on the guard but before she can he confesses to talking to the FBI.

As Frost heads back to her room, Peggy and Sousa finish off, Sousa changing one of the equations to slow her down.

Back in the lab Stark, Wilkes and Samberly have discovered the devices purpose and argue over what the device should be called.Peggy telling them to work together to fix issues with the device that could cause the end of the world.

They decide to draw Frost out by setting up the device at the Stark Pictures and Carter names the device the Rift Generator.

As Stark flirts with Rose, they continue to work on the generator. Sousa refuses to accept Wilkes apology, but wanted to know why he pulled the gun on Peggy. He says he knew Sousa would give in because he would have done the same.

Peggy enquires about Ana, Jarvis says she is recovering but they are struggling to come to terms with her injury. Thompson wants to help and Peggy tells him to sort the dinner order out. He makes the order but finds Masters briefcase which holds the file on Peggy as well as a Council pin, which hide a key.

The Rift Generator is set up on the lot, Wilkes warns everyone to stay at least 20 feet back otherwise they will be sucked in. Howard turns the device on and the rift opens. Frost can feel it.

As Stark hits golf balls through the rift, Samberly sets up the gamma ray. Thompson wants to know why Peggy hasn’t handed him over, but she says she knows he is good and he hands over the pin.

Frost arrives and scares Samberly who screams. As Frost appears Stark fires the cannon, the zero matter returning back through the rift. They capture Frost and take her into custody.

Stark is struggling to turn off the generator, it can be manually turned off but they will have to get close. They all volunteer but Sousa is already on his way. Tying himself to a lamppost he leans to turn it off but starts to come loose. They stop him but he wants them to let go. Jarvis and Samberly appear in Stark’s hover car, Sousa gets in they inform him that they are gonna detonate the gamma core having sent it through the rift in the

car.

After everything, Stark and Carter argue about studying the matter. Stark tells Peggy he has hired Wilkes to work on a project he discovered in Peru and is setting up a facility in Malibu. As Stark leaves peggy tells Wilkes she is going home to New York but she was happy she had met him

As Jarvis and Ana arrive home Carter apologises to her, but Ana doesn’t feel that way. She hugs Peggy. When Jarvis finds out Peggy has called a cab he takes offence and takes her to the airport.

Frost has been trying to claw the crack on her face to pen again, but it is gone. She sees Chadwick who promises everything is OK, but we realise she is locked in an asylum. Manfredi visits with flowers but she can’t have them as she would them on her face.

Jarvis takes Peggy to the airport, but Jarvis tries to convince her to stay, she says everything she has is in New York, Jarvis say she has at least one thing in LA.

 

Sousa is closing the case, but tells Carter she was reckless and her plans were ill advised. She tells him that he is hypocritical after the uranium rods. They kiss.

Thompson is on the phone to Peggy, she is telling him she is taking more vacation. He plans to fly home on his own. Some one knocks on his hotel room door, they shoot him and steal the file on Peggy.
