DVC Members Extras No Longer Available For Resale Buyers

Disney Vacation Club owners have recently been sent a letter to inform members about a policy change for membership extras.

According to the DVC website, “members who do not purchase an ownership interest directly from Disney Vacation Development Inc. will not have access to Membership Extras.”

This won’t effect current owners but is effective from the 4th of April.  Disney is trying to encourage purchases from them directly and not via a growing number of DVC resellers.

“We see this policy change as a very positive step to ensure that, going forward, our Members who purchase directly from Disney Vacation Club receive a premium advantage – in addition to all the magic that Disney has to offer.”

Some of the recent membership benefits include special events at the Magic Kingdom, discounts on merchandise, tickets, food and will also include access to a new lounge which is due to open at Epcot soon.
