Marvel Cinematic Universe May Have Found it’s Wonder Man

So that one guy who we all love [the royal we ;)] will be returning to the MCU. Having a voice over cameo in the original Guardians of the Galaxy, Nathan Fillion [Captain Mal Reynolds or thriller writer Richard Castle, whoever you prefer] will appear in the anticipated sequel as the face of Simon Williams.

Oh Rebecca, Akron, and Haxan 2! Classics!!

Nominated for an Oscar for his controversial portrayal of Anthony “Tony” Stark.

As you can see in the photos, Simon Williams is an actor within this universe but comic fans know the name is more than a mere cameo. Williams is better known as the bad guy-turned good guy, Wonder Man.

Given his wondrous powers by Baron Zemo [Cap: Civil War villain] through testing, Williams eventually joined the Avengers to fight against the baddies. It is yet to be confirmed as to what extent Fillion will be playing the character outside of these faux movie posters. Perhaps we will be seeing more of him in Infinity Wars or even Agents of SHIELD?
