Disney Movies VR Takes You To Jakku, Disney World & The Avengers Tower

Disney have released a new Virtual Reality demo, featuring scenes from The Jungle Book, Captain America and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This demo is available to download on Steam for free and works with the HTC Hive and Oculus Rift.

Here is the official description:

Transport yourself into the wonderful world of Disney from your very own living room with Disney Movies VR. This app is a fully-immersive experience where you visit themed worlds, including Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm, and interact with some of your favorite characters in their natural environments. Choose from multiple scenes in Disney movies including The Jungle Book, Captain America and Star Wars and be a part of the action! Disney Movies VR is your ticket to full immersion into the many Disney experiences optimized for virtual reality. Brought to you by the imaginative minds at Disney.

Disney also recently showcased some other demo’s that they had been working on at a Tech Day event in April, with VR set to become a mainstream experience soon, with the release of the PlayStation VR, expect to see a lot more Virtual Reality projects coming soon as Disney get to grips with the new technology.
