Will The Guardians Be Joining The Infinity War?

Is it possible we will be seeing Groot and Rocket Raccoon fighting alongside Captain America, Iron Man and the Avengers? In an interview Avengers: Infinity War screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely did with Nerdist.com, it sure sounds like we will.

“You know who owns that Gauntlet, right? And you know who’s in another movie? And his kids are in that movie… you do the math!” said Markus. So let’s see, we have Thanos the Mad Titan with the Infinity Gauntlet, he is the main villain in Infinity War (as far as we know), and his kids will be in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, now we just need the one missing piece that ties it all together.

Although he has only made cameo appearances up to this point, McFeely is very excited about bringing Thanos to the main event. “You know, he’s never been the villain in any of the movies. He’s never been the main character in that way, so giving lots of screen time to Thanos is paramount and pretty fun.”

Avengers: Infinity War part 1 is expected to be released on May 4th, 2018.
