With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story set to be released in cinemas on December 16th, it is being reported that the Disney executives haven’t been happy with the first cut of the movie and have ordered the movie go back into production in July for 4 weeks of reshoots.

A Disney source added, “The filmmaking team and the studio always anticipated additional shooting and second unit work to make the film the absolute best it can be, and the actors were aware there would be additional shooting. Coming off ‘The Force Awakens,’ there’s an incredibly high bar for this movie and we have a responsibility to the franchise and to the fans to deliver the best possible movie we can.”

Rogue One is rumoured to be a much darker tone and is set to include Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han Solo, setting up that prequel movie.  But with movie not testing well, there is set to be some big changes to the original director cut.  It is common for movies to go back for reshoots and has happened to previous Star Wars movies.
