Lots Of Star Wars Video Game News From EAPlay At E3

EA decided to do something different this year, holding an event outside of the main E3 event, and during the live EA Play show in Los Angeles and London, we were told about some updates coming for Star Wars themed video games, coming from the man teams within EA including DICE, BioWare, Motive, Visceral Games, Capital Games and Respawn Entertainment.

This video shows a look at some of the new content coming to the upcoming Star Wars games.

This year we will continue to see updates coming to the three Star Wars games, Battlefront, The Old Republic and Galaxy of Heroes.  Including some early preview footage from the new Bespin DLC pack, which is out next week.  DICE is also working with Criterion on an exclusive Star Wars Battlefront VR mission for PlayStation VR this year.

This December, BioWare will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of Star Wars: The Old Republic and will be adding more content throughout the year.

EA’s Jade Raymond also confirmed that a new instalment of Star Wars Battlefront would be coming next year with new characters from the new movies and that they have been listening to our requests on how to improve the game.  EA have also added some more teams onto the game to help with production of Battlefront.

It was also re-announced that EA is working on other games including a new game from  visceral and will feature original native with new characters and it will be coming out in 2018.  We also get to see a little bit of early footage in the preview below.

Another game by Respawn is also in development and will be a third person shooter, but from another era.  During the preview video, we get to see some capture footage of two actors doing a lightsaber battle.  This game is set to come out after 2018, so its still a way off yet.
