‘We Built China’s Disneyland’ Says Bob Iger

With Shanghai Disney Resort opening this week, Bob Iger has said “We didn’t just build Disneyland in China. We built China’s Disneyland. We have benefited from the recent success of some of our movies in China. But nothing connects to our brands like a theme park. It is immersive (and allows people) to hear, see and live in the stories.”  Iger was speaking at the jungle-themed Adventure Isle section within the park, a day before its official opening.

Bob Iger also added that is likely to be more expansions to the park coming “sooner rather than later.”  And that “Disney is uniquely suited for success in China”.
