Review: Finding Dory Table & Chairs / Playland (JAKKS Pacific)
Earlier this month, I highlighted some of the Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars toys that JAKKS Pacific is releasing as part of their Sizzling Summer promotion. Today I took a look at two of those items, both from the Pixar movie Finding Dory, which premieres this week here in the US. For this review, I asked my cousin Sydney to assist me, as these two items are geared to toddlers/ young children… and because her parents named her after the Finding Nemo locale.
- Finding Dory Table & Chair Set
This table and chair set comes with (1) Folding Table and (2) Padded Chairs. Featuring Dory, Nemo, and Hank from the movie, they are quite sturdy. I appreciate that both the table and chairs open and lock in such a way where it would be difficult for a child to close them up themselves. There is also a way to make it so the chairs cannot be closed using a fastener and alan wrench (provided).
As far as what Syndey thought? Well, she’s a toddler… so she’s quite active. We got her to sit down at the table very briefly, but she was more excited to play with the other item, which was set up right next to the table and the chairs.
2. Finding Dory Fish are Friends Playland
Featuring an inflatable Playland and (20) soft flex balls, this would be great in the yard for any little kid. Sydney has a similar Minnie Mouse one (also from JAKKS Pacific) she got a while back, so she was well versed in how to play with this.
It took a bit for me to blow up the Playland, especially since it has multiple air ports for the different sections. However, I love the vibrant, colorful designs, which also feature Dory, Nemo, and Hank.
Sydney LOVED playing in this Playland. It was fun watching her run in and out throwing the balls around, laughing and having a great time. I don’t spend enough time with her, due to conflicting schedules, so this time was indeed precious.
Yup, that is the face of one happy little girl. Sydney approved.
You can find the Finding Dory Table and Chair Set and the Fish are Friends Playland at most mass market retailers, and online, this summer. Don’t forget that Finding Dory comes out this Friday, June 17th.
