Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory Closing For Refurb

It has been reported that the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Walt Disney World’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter is closing for a major refurbishment from July 11th.

It is set to reopen in the fall and there will be a temporary pop up food outlet near the lobby that will be selling jambalaya, gumbo, po-boy sandwiches, beignets, other hot and cold entrees.  There will also be a range of quick items available and the Disney Dining Plan will be accepted at the temporary location.  The Pizza Delivery service will continue to be available and Disney is putting on bus transportation from 7am till midnight to take guests to the nearby Mill Food Court and Boatwright’s Dining Hall at the Riverside.
