DST’s Muppet Select Series 3 & Minimates Series 3 Details

First reported over at Tough Pigs last week, here is a look at some of the upcoming Muppets products from Diamond Select Toys.

Muppets Select Series 3

The third series in the very popular Muppets Select action figures will include Rowlf the Dog with Crazy Harry and Mahna Mahna, Floyd Pepper and Janice, and Miss Piggy with Foo Foo and one of the beloved Penguins. I personally am loving the look of these figures, and think they will look amazing with the other two series of characters. I reviewed Series 1 back in April, and Series 2 is about to hit stores (you can see pics of the in package shots further on down).

Each Muppets Select pack retails at $24.99.

Muppets Minimates Series 3

Personally, I am loving how they are rounding out the roster with this series. Included in the regular release of Muppets Minimates Series 3 are Patrol Bear Fozzie and Constantine, Floyd Pepper and Janice, Zoot and Lips, and Pepe the King Prawn and the Muppet Newsman. There is no news yet on if places like Toys ‘R’ Us will have special editions or not, but if Series 1 and Series 2 has proven anything… that is indeed possible.

Each Muppets Minimates pack retails at $9.99.

Muppets Select Series 2 In-Packaged Shots

Also surfacing last week were images of the in-packaged shots of Muppets Select Series 2. Here they are.

Statler and Waldorf come with their balcony, which looks amazing.

Animal comes, fittingly, with his drum set in a single character pack.

Bunsen and Beaker come with a bunch of lab equipment.

I personally love the way that both the Select and Minimates series are progressing, and feel Diamond Select Toys is doing quite well to keeping true to the brand and the characters in both their selection of rosters and look of the characters. I am excited to see what comes with upcoming series. I would love for them to add a Swedish Chef, Rizzo the Rat, and Pepe the King Prawn to the Select line… oh who am I kidding, I want them ALL!
