Gentle Giant have revealed a new bust featuring Ralph McQuarrie’s Chewbacca concept design is going to be available at this years San Diego Comic Con 2016.

Ralph McQuarrie’s early designs were the essential building blocks that helped shape the Star Wars universe. There is no question, McQuarrie’s Chewbacca concept drawings were some of his best.

Based on original pre-production illustrations for Star Wars: A New Hope, this Gentle Giant mini bust takes a fascinating look at McQuarrie’s conceptual development for one of science fiction’s most beloved characters. We are proud to add Ralph McQuarrie’s original concept of Chewbacca to our long running line of mini-busts and collectibles.

Digitally sculpted by the master artisans at Gentle Giant Ltd., this gorgeous bust used Mr. McQuarrie’s original artwork as reference.
