Chef Art’s Homecoming Opens At Disney Springs At Walt Disney World

Disney have announced that Chef Art’s Homecoming, now open at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort.   This restuarant offers a wide selection of items from celebrity Chef Art Smith including its famous chicken, shrimp and grits, fried catfish, sweet collards and chocolate pecan pie.  Other items include Addie Mae’s Chicken & Dumpling soup, the Tarpon Springs Greek Salad, Church Lady Deviled Eggs, Momma’s Mac n Cheese and Anna Maria Fish Dip.

There are is also a special drink called “The Local”, which is a coconut water rum cocktail with the fresh sweetness of fresh lime juice, simple syrup and fresh pineapple.

Chef Art Smith is a native of Jasper, Fla and is a former cast member in the Disney College Program.  The interior takes the “Homecoming Florida” theme with two large tables crafted from reclaimed Florida camphor and eucalyptus. There is also Florida cypress throughout the interior and also has oversized murals inside and out by Tampa’s Matt Callahan, and a photo of local farmer Hank Scott and his dad at their Long & Scott Farms in nearby Zellwood.
