What’s Coming To Star Wars Battlefront This Summer?

EA have announced some details of some of the upcoming updates to Star Wars Battlefront including a new offline mode and upcoming events.

One of the new modes is Skirmish, which is available to all players and is available to play offline.  The new mode will be available starting July 20th and offers players the option to play offline against bots in a solo mission or with a friend using co-op split screen.

Skirmish can be played on a difficulty level of your choosing and across two modes, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron.   It will also be playable on many locations including Hoth and Sullust.

There will also be some new free in-game events planned for the summer including new Hutt Contracts for new weapons, log-in reward opportunities, and open trials to experience Bespin.

The next expansion pack, Death Star, will be available to Season Pass members in September first, before being available to everyone else separately later.  In this new Death Star pack, there will be new maps – on ground and in space – new weapons and Star Cards and two new heroes.

EA will be giving fans a sneak peak of the Death Star expansion pack on a livestream on Saturday, 16th July at 19.00 BST during Star Wars Celebration Europe.
