Within just over a month, Pixar’s “Finding Dory” has become the highest domestic animated release of all time, bringing in a current gross of $445.5 million.  And the movie still hasn’t been released in other regions such as the UK, as the movie has currently taken in over $721 million worldwide, and is expected to top $1 billion.

“Finding Dory” has overtaken “Shrek 2”, which took $441.2 million in 2004.  It has also overtaken Disney’s other big hit of the year, “Captain America: Civil War”.
