Han Solo Actor Reported To Have Signed A Three Picture Deal
It looks like Alden Ehrenreich, has been signed to a three picture deal to play Han Solo in some upcoming “Star Wars” spin-off movies, which will show off the characters early years.
While it’s possible that Disney is planning a new Han Solo trilogy, it could also just allow the character to cross over to other new projects set before the original trilogy like the rumoured Boba Fett solo movie, much like how the Marvel Universe have their talent signed to larger contracts, to allow for cross over and to make things more unified.
“There is a real sense of excitement around the Han Solo movie and its potential,” says our insider. “Given that Han’s early adventures do not need to be tied to the Empire, it leaves story lines open with the opportunity to really give fans something different. They can explore new galaxies and crazy creatures and bring in a wide array of new characters.
“They feel that his character has the right potential to become a central figure in several movies,” our source said. “They’re keeping things under wraps at the moment, but the deal is that he has signed for at least three movies.”
Alden Ehrenreich was shown off at the recent Star Wars Celebration event, talking about his new role.
