New Spider-Man Game Shown During PlayStation 4 Pro Reveal

spiderman-ps4-proDuring Sony’s PlayStation Meeting in New York, as part of the presentation of the new PlayStation 4 Pro, we got to see some footage of the new Marvel Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games in 4K.

It was revealed that players will be able to make out pedestrians in the distance that would have been blurs on a normal HD TV set and that Spider-Man’s suit is breathtakingly clear in 4K.

Check out the footage below, however this video isn’t in 4K, so we can’t actually see the difference.

The new PS4 Pro will be released on November 10th and is priced at 44,980 yen, USD 399, EUR 399 and GBP 349. The PS4 Pro gives a boost to performance and capability of the system architecture including the CPU and GPU, PS4 Pro allows games to deliver graphics with far more detail and unprecedented visual precision. Users with 4K TVs will be able to enjoy all PS4 titles in higher quality, such as 4K quality 1 resolution and faster or more stable frame rates.

In addition, PS4 Pro supports 4K video playback to deliver 4K streaming video services such as Netflix and YouTube. Also every PS4 game title, including those already available and those launching in the future, will run on all PS4 including PS4 Pro. Furthermore, all the PS4 system employs the same user interface and shares the same online community for multiplayer gaming and network services.

Our Take:

It was great to see the new Spider-Man game being used by Sony to promote their new 4K PS4 console, but I’ll be honest, I wasn’t blown away by the reveal of the new console as without a 4K TV or display, we can’t really see the benefit. However if you have a 4K TV and a new PS4 Pro once the new Spider-Man game comes out, I’m sure it’ll look beautiful!

Will you be enjoying the new Spider-Man game in 4K?
