DLC Coming To Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue

Following the release of the new trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue at the Tokyo Game Show, more details on the game have been revealed from the Japanese website, that the game will contain DLC.

The website has a new tab (which isn’t yet active), indicating that there will be “Special/DLC” content for the game.

This marks the first time a Kingdom Hearts game has had DLC, its unclear if this will be new additional in-game content like extra levels, additional Keyblade or costumes, or if its just bonus material like a theme, poster, avatar etc.

The game will be coming to Japan on January 12th and will be released everywhere else on the 24th January.

Our Take:

Additional downloadable content has become standard for most video games, so the addition of this doesn’t surprise me, simple things like costume or additional weapons make more sense than extra levels or missions.
