Disney Auditioning For Marvel’s Doctor Strange Appearances At Walt Disney World

Disney have put out an audition call for some male actors to portray Marvel’s Doctor Strange for a limited engagement appearance this fall at the Walt Disney World Resort.  They are looking for an athletic build male who is between 5’11” and 6’2″.

These performers should be local to the Central Florida area and will be employed by the Walt Disney World Resort, so will be covered under the terms and conditions of a Collective Bargaining Agreement with Actors’ Equity Association.

Our Take:

With Doctor Strange hitting cinemas this fall, it makes sense for Disney to promote the movie and merchandise.  It’s even more interesting to see Disney will be promoting a Marvel character at the parks, it’s unclear if this character will be in the parks or at some private events, for a meet and greet or special appearance.

While Universal Studios have rights to use many Marvel characters like Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America and many more, they don’t have access to every character such as the Guardians of the Galaxy, so Doctor Strange might not be included in that deal, but it might be limited.  Which opens up many more possibilities for the long term of Doctor Strange at Walt Disney World.

What do you think of Doctor Strange coming to the parks?
