Walt Disney World Hurricane Matthew Details

With Hurricane Matthew set to hit Orlando is week, Disney have been making many changes to its schedule.  Here is a current list of some of the latest changes:

  • The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and Hoop De Doo Musical Revue are cancelled on the 6th & 7th.
  • Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party on the 6th has been cancelled.
  • Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are closed on the 6th & 7th.
  • Characters in Flight at Disney Springs is also now closed and is set to reopen on the 9th.
  • Most events at ESPN Wide World of Sports this coming weekend have been .
  • Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground will close at 2:00pm on the 6th and guests are being asked to vacate the camp.
  • All RVs are being moved to the Cruella parking lot at the Magic Kingdom.

Disney have also stated:

“Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions as we continue to monitor Hurricane Matthew. Recent forecasts indicate that there could be rain and wind in the Central Florida area as early as Thursday evening, October 6, 2016. Please continue to monitor news outlets for the latest weather information.”

Things are changing rapidly, and with severe weather like a Hurricane, Disney will be making lots of changes throughout the next few days.
