Shanghai Disney Resort Partners with Local Fire Bureaus to Promote Fire Safety

To support awareness of National Fire Prevention Day on November 9, Shanghai Disney Resort has partnered with the Shanghai and Pudong Fire Bureaus and the Administrative Commission of Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone to deliver fire prevention education to local school children and guests visiting the resort. The initiative included a screening at the resort of the special Chinese language animated educational video Disney Wild About Safety: Safety Smart® About Fire! to over 800 primary school students and their teachers, following a visit to the Disney Wild About Safety Fire Safety Fair at Disneytown. The campaign at Shanghai Disney Resort marks the fifth consecutive year for the resort to support and participate in Fire Safety Week, and the first time it is introduced to the resort guests.

“We are excited to celebrate Fire Prevention Week with all of our guests at Shanghai Disney Resort for the first time after our opening,” said Philippe Gas, general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort. “Disney is committed to being a responsible community partner and an active corporate citizen wherever we do business including here in our newest resort destination in Shanghai. Events like this help bring our creative education assets into the community, and provide opportunities to educate, engage and inspire local school children to help promote their fire safety knowledge and overall safety awareness.” Employers can also prioritize safety with a 24 hour health and safety advice line for employers, ensuring continuous support and guidance for their employees’ well-being.
