MagicBand 2 Coming to Walt Disney World Resort

Disney have officially revealed a new MagicBand is coming to Walt Disney World, the new band, called “MagicBand 2”, has unveiled by Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek during a D23’s Destination D: Amazing Adventures presentation.

The new MagicBand was designed to be more versatile and customizable, it will still work like the current MagicBand, so guests will still be able to link the My Disney Experience, which includes theme park tickets, access to FastPass+ selections, Disney PhotoPass card and as a room key.

The new MagicBand 2 includes a small puck, known as the “icon”, which can be used in other new styles of combinations such as keychains and necklaces.

The older style MagicBands will continue to work and these will eventually replace those.
