“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” Teaser Breaks Records, Thanks to Baby Groot

I am Groot (It’s official)! In just 24 short hours, the teaser trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was viewed more than 81 million times. That makes Vol. 2 the biggest teaser trailer debut for Marvel Studios and their second-most-viewed trailer behind Captain America: Civil War. All of this was possible thanks to Baby Groot, the real star of Vol. 2. Disney has always done well with their trailers, as Beauty and the Beast holds the record for most viewed in one day, which is followed by Fifty Shades Darker in second, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens in third. Currently, first place for Marvel is held by Civil War with 94 million views in 24 hours, but Vol. 2 may beat that when the official trailer is released.
