Girl Meets World Cancelled

The Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World, the spinoff from 90’s hit comedy Boy Meets World, has been cancelled and won’t be returning for its fourth season.  The show returned in 2014 and follows the lives of the now adult couple Cory (Savage) and Topanga (Fishel), as they raise their kids Riley (Blanchard) and Auggie (August Maturo) in New York City.

The announcement was made by the shows writers on Twitter:

“It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over.

I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty. Please watch our January episodes.

We leave you with three incredible souvenirs of a show we couldn’t be more proud of. As I look back I can tell you with absolute certainty.”

The series will end on January 20th at 6 p.m. ET on the Disney Channel, but the first three seasons will continue to be available on Disney Channel’s digital platforms, the Disney Channel app and Disney Channel VOD.
