Disney LongBox Reviews: Disney Princess #7

In this issue of Disney Princess, a game of tag in Corona ends with a kiss, Gaston bakes a cake, Mushu plays with fireworks and much more. Join us for the penultimate issue of Disney Princess.

Snow White wakes up to find her animal friends all over her bed, keeping her from getting up. Pocahontas much decide which river route to go through with the help of Meeko. Gaston watches Belle admire a cake as he ponders making one would impress her. Ariel finally gets to ask Eric all of her questions about the surface world, how will poor Eric handle all of her questions ? Rapunzel and Pascal spend the afternoon playing hide and seek to hilarious hi-jinks.

Merida gets her hair brushed and proceeds to messen it up as always. Cinderella shows off her ribbon dancing techniques to the teacher’s amazement. Rapunzel and Pascal engage in a staring contest, who will win ? Gaston discovers that heroes in disguise interests Belle so he plans to become one to impress her. Finally, Scuttle gives Ariel yet another human artifact for her collection.

As usual, I am covering the longer stories separately :

TAG YOU’RE IT

Flynn challenges Rapunzel by saying he could get anywhere in the castle while being blindfolded as Rapunzel tags him running off to hide. Rapunzel later tells him he can take the blindfold off as she becomes cunning with her hiding place.

Will Flynn be able to outsmart Rapunzel ? Who knows ?

FIREWORKS

Mulan is tending to her meditation tree as Mushu heads to the launch site with a handful of fireworks. Mulan sees that this could easily go wrong as she follows him telling him that the results could be disastrous. Mulan teaches him about firework safety throughout the story.

FIRST SNOWFALL

Aurora and the prince are out enjoying the first snowfall upon their French kingdom. King Stefan wonders what they should do until King Herbert throws a snowball upon him. They soon go into a snowball war as everyone joins in, even the three good fairies.

They later try out tobogganing and building snowmen. This was a charming story indeed.

BEIGNET STAND

Naveen convinces Tiana to open up a beignet stand to promote their restaurant but Naveen can’t help out since he promised to play in Louis’ band. He sets up Lottie as his replacement.

What could go possibly wrong ? Never thought I would do a Bubsy reference in a Disney review honestly.

TRADITIONS

Pocahontas talks to Gandma Willow about how Jamestown celebrate Chrismas by decorating their houses and dancing as Grandma Willow jokes about them decorating trees next. If only she knew

BABYSITTING

Queen Eilneor informs Merida that she and the King will be gone for a day and leaves Merida in charge of babysitting the triplets. She already loses sight of them as she follows their trail of destruction. She needs to use her cunning skills to catch them and watch them.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Yet another wonderful issue of Disney Princess. My favourite story is hands down the snowball fight, the art was creative and it is nice to see more of the parents interacting with each other since the first movie barely had any time where the King and Queen did anything together.

My only con is that this is the penultimate issue. It’s a shame the comic will end at Princess #8.
