Zootopia, The Jungle Book & Piper Win At The Oscars

At the 89th Academy Awards ceremony, Disney picked up three Oscars:

  • Best animated short film – Piper
  • Best visual effects – The Jungle Book
  • Best animated feature film – Zootopia

The Oscars took place on February 26th, 2017, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.  Other winners included Moonlight for best picture, Casey Affleck picked up best actor for his role in Manchester by the Sea, and Emma Stone won best Actress for her part in La La Land. Mahershala Ali also picked up best supporting actor for his role in Moonlight, he had a major role as Cottonmouth in the recent Marvel Luke Cage series.
