D23 Experience Pandora with Joe Rohde

D23 is giving Gold members the chance to experience Pandora: World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with the one and only Joe Rohde!

Rohde is the mastermind for basically the mastermind of Animal Kingdom as he was the Lead Designer for the park. His Imagineering career also includes being lead designer for Aulani, Disney’s Hawaiian resort, the Fantasyland refurb at Disneyland, Captain EO in EPCOT(now extinct) and the Norway and Mexico pavilions. He is currently leading the team at Disneyland that is constructing the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! attraction.

Not only will members get a guided tour by Rohde but they will get to enjoy lunch at Tiffins with him and fellow D23 members as well. The experience starts at 11am and will be a 3 hour tour. Check in will be in front of Tiffins and it is asked that you do not arrive no earlier than 10:45am. Members are invited to return between 3-5pm the same day to explore Pandora on their own. The day of the event is May 19th and costs $250 per person plus the $5 processing fee. Tickets go on sale April 5th at 1pm EST and can be bought here.

Pandora: World of Avatar opens to the general public on May 27th.
