Haunted Mansion Restaurant Coming to Magic Kingdom?

Disney has been taking a real interest in their classic attractions in recent years. With the huge success of the Pirates of the Caribbean films and it latest upcoming film opening later this month. along with the opening and success of “Skipper Canteen” in Adventureland and the announced “Jungle Cruise” film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, it is no surprise that this rumor has come about.

Magic Kingdom turned a candle shop in Liberty Square into a store entirely themed to the Haunted Mansion called “Memento Mori.” With this and the increase in demand for Haunted Mansion merchandise, including a subscription service from Disney that serves strictly Haunted Mansion merchandise, it could be an exciting and very possible venture if this rumor is true. This wouldn’t be the first time Disney created a restaurant based on one of their classic attractions.

WDW1974 has addressed the rumor on a message board post and it is not the first time Disney tried to capitalize on Haunted Mansion. Disney made a Haunted Mansion movie starring Eddie Murphy but it is considered a flop like the Country Bear Jamboree film, despite both being popular classic attractions.

There is no word on any details regarding the menu, if it will be quick service or table service, or even where it would go.
