RUMOR: Volcano Attraction Coming to Magic Kingdom?

It seems plenty of rumors are popping up in regards to what’s to come to Magic Kingdom for its upcoming 50th annivesary. While its still 4 years away, now is the time to begin planning. Among many rumors including a tron coaster in Tomorrowland and changes possibly coming to Enchanted Tiki Room, It is now being rumored that a Volcano attraction could come to Magic Kingdom too. This means Volcano Bay wouldn’t be the only place in orlando with a Volcano.

According to Jim Hill, Disney is considering the “Fire Mountain” attraction concept again. Adding fuel to the fire was recent murmurs on message boards and through the mouth of friends of mine that back in march, height balloons were spotted behind Jungle Cruise in Adventureland. Rumor states that a volcano attraction may come with a Moana theme to it, which honestly wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world in my opinion.

While the concept of the attraction has changed over the years, its most recent return to the rumor board does link up with other rumors which include a tropical themed restaurant. the attempt to bring life to the shoreline of the Seven Seas Lagoon with attraction could work. To use the shoreline where the attraction is rumored to be placed, guests would have to cross a road backstage used for parades according to Ken Storey, which would be similar to the Main Street Bypass.

With it being pretty much confirmed that Moana will come to Adventureland by the summertime, it is now being rumored she could take over Enchanted Tiki Room as a meet and greet spot. I was told Adventureland Vernadah originally but i dont know if i can see Disney taking out a classic attraction for this purpose. But with the Tiki Bird rumored to be removed for a brand new signature restaurant, it is hard to say right now what the move will be.
