D23 Expo 2017 Highlight: Disney Archives Presents A Pirate’s Life For Me
While at D23 Expo last weekend, one of the special exhibits on the show floor was that of the Walt Disney Archives, who this year presented A Pirate’s Life For Me: Disney’s Rascals, Scoundrels, and Really Bad Eggs. This collection of pirate themed artifacts and memorabilia spanned all of the pirate aspects of the Walt Disney Company, from the early days of cartoons to the most recent Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise. From Muppet Treasure Island and pirates in the theme parks to an entire section devoted to our beloved Captain Hook, this walk-through exhibit was worth the wait time to get in (there was basically always a line to get into the exhibit). Here is a sampling of just some of what I saw on display.
NOTE: In order to save time, I am posting these pictures in a thumbnail gallery setting. If you want more information on a particular piece, please comment below and if I have more information I will supply it.
Were you at D23 Expo and see this exhibit? What were the highlights for you? Let me know below.
