Marvel Guardians Of The Galaxy: Telltale Game Episode 3 Review

Episode 3 of the Marvel Guardians Of The Galaxy: Telltale Game continues the story of this unlikely family as Starlord tries to find his late mother and outrun their enemies.   Episode 3 focuses on the relationship between Gamora and Nebula, which is a much more interesting story than Rocket’s from episode 2.  This flashback also gives us some fun interactive moments that remind you that your playing a game rather than watching a television episode.

The addition of Mantis to the team does bring some nice fresh insight into the characters, though her interaction with Drax isn’t as funny as we saw in the Vol 2 movie.  I also really liked the musical moment on board the ship which felt completely natural and not forced in.

Being halfway through the season does offer the same problems that many TV shows or a movie often suffer from, trying to offer a resolution to what we’ve seen so far and trying to continue the story to a big ending.  The way Telltale release their games does cause this issue, as basically we are only half way through the story and I’m really interested to see where it goes but that does also mean this episode doesn’t stand out on its own merits.
