Pop! Review: Disney Parks’ Mr. Toad (SDCC Exclusive)

For today’s review, I wanted to take a look at the SDCC 2017 Exclusive Mr. Toad Pop! Vinyl from Funko. Based off the popular dark ride attraction Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in Disneyland, this Pop! version of Mr. Toad was limited to 1500 pieces at SDCC, and not a shared exclusive. With Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride one of the few original rides remaining at Disneyland, I love that they are paying homage to a very under-appreciated character in Mr. Toad. He has always been a favorite of mine, and I did not like it when Toad Hall and the ride were removed from Walt Disney World to make way for a Winnie-the-Pooh inspired attraction.

While loosely based off the animated sequence from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, the “Hell” scene is only in the ride version of the events of The Wind in the Willows (the source material for the movie).

Overall, I love that my friend was able to get Mr. Toad for me at SDCC, and he is a wonderful addition to my Disney Funko collection.
