‘Vampirina’ Is the Platform’s #1 Series Premiere in Nearly One Year With Total Viewers and Target Preschoolers

The simulcast launch of Disney Junior’s animated series “Vampirina” with two back-to-back episodes on Disney Channel and Disney Junior (October 1, 11:00 and 11:30 a.m.), ranked as the preschooler platform’s  #1 series premiere in close to one year in Total Viewers (1.970 million), Kids 2-5 (584,000/3.7 rating), Kids 2-8 (886,000/3.2 rating) and Adults 18-49 (544,000/0.4 rating) – since 1/15/17 (“Mickey and the Roadster Racers”). The two episodes ranked #1 in the hour in Total Viewers and across Kids, Girls and Boys 2-5 and 2-8 demographics.

To date, “Vampirina” has amassed nearly 28 million Total Views including reaching 17 million Total Viewers via linear TV, including amassing a substantial 10.4 million full-episode views on YouTube.

Set in a Pennsylvania neighborhood, the series stars Lauren Graham, James Van Der Beek and Isabella Crovetti as the Hauntley family, friendly vampires who have recently moved from their home in Transylvania. The stories follow Vampirina (aka “Vee”) as she faces the joys and trials of being the new kid in town including making friends and attending a new school in the human world. Along the way, Vee learns that it may be easier to blend in with her peers, but it’s more valuable to celebrate the qualities that make each individual unique.

Extensions for the series include multiple storybook and early reader book titlesfrom Disney Publishing Worldwide, as well as dolls, plush, playsets and role-play products from Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media.
