Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite & Spider-Man Nominated For The Game Awards

This years nominees for the 2017 Game Awards have been announced, with two Marvel games being nominated.

Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite has been nominated for Best Fighting Game, against Injustice 2, Tekken 7, Nidhogg 2 and Arms.

Marvel also got a nod in the “Most Anticipated Game” category with Spider-Man, which is coming soon to the PS4 and is created by Insomniac Games.  It has been nominated against “The Last Of Us: Part 2”, Monster Hunter: World, Red Dead Redemption 2 and God Of War.

There are lots of other awards being voted on, including Game of the Year, which includes titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Persona 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Winners will be revealed live on Thursday, December 7 and the winners in most categories are determined by the international jury (90%) which includes over 51 outlets including IGN, Gamespot, Kinda Funny, Gameinformer, USA Today, and a public fan vote (10%) across TheGameAwards.com and Google Search Voting.

In the categories of Best Esports Game, Best Esports Player, Best Esports Team, Most Anticipated Game, and Trending Gamer, the public fan vote across Twitter DM, Facebook Messenger, TheGameAwards.com and Google Search Voting solely determines the winner.  Fan voting closes on Wednesday, December 6 at Midnight PT.
