Star Wars Collectibles & Art Exhibition Opens At TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX

The world famous TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX has teamed up with Sideshow to unveil a one-of-a-kind Star Wars exhibition.

Unveiled at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX’s opening night screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 14th, and running through the end of January, this stunning display showcases statues, artwork, and high-end collectible figures inspired by the characters within the Star Wars universe, following the fall of the Empire.

THE EXPERIENCE
This Star Wars experience, co-curated by Sideshow, the leading maker of the highest quality pop culture collectibles for over 20 years, features a selection of Sideshow’s museum-quality Star Wars collectible, statues, and Fine Art Prints.
This exhibition is a genuine love letter to the visionary work of Lucasfilm, and is a must-see attraction for any Star Wars fan!

Visitors have the opportunity to walk through a captivating gallery space and see sculptures, figures, and fine art pieces inspired by the Star Wars Universe.  As well as enjoying fun photo opportunities with fan-favorite characters, fans will also be able to enter Sideshow’s sweepstakes for a chance to win a life-size R2-D2!

OPENING NIGHT
Star Wars fans gathered from all over the world to experience the latest installment in the intergalactic saga at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX.

The TCL Chinese Theatre payed homage to the late Carrie Fisher by unveiling a new commemorative plaque in her honor. Sideshow LIVE host Susan presented a rare Princess Leia statue from the Sideshow archives to Carrie’s brother Todd Fisher, and talked about the company’s love of the franchise, the characters, and Carrie in particular.


Fans and press interacted with life-size figures of R2-D2 that flanked the iconic entranceway to the TCL Chinese Theatre before experiencing an exhibition of costumes, memorabilia, and Sideshow statues and figures inspired by the movies.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson spoke with the fans and gave Sideshow prizes to lucky members of the audience before introducing the movie.
