Pop! Review: Disney’s DuckTales
Merry Christmas everyone!
For today’s review, I wanted to take a look at the DuckTales collection of Pop! Vinyls from Funko. Released this past summer, the collection consisted of five regular release characters (Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby), a GameStop exclusive Magica De Spell, and a Fall Convention Exclusive Scrooge McDuck in a pile of his gold (shared between New York Comic Con and Hot Topic).
Prior to this, Lauchpad McQuack was released as part of the Darkwing Duck collection, as the character spans both series. Darkwing Duck is technically considered a spin-off series to DuckTales. Additionally, it was recently revealed that a Gizmo Duck (with a Glow-in-the-Dark Chase variant) will be released soon at Target stores here in the US. NOTE: I believe this news is unconfirmed by Funko at the time of this post.
Here is a closer look at each of the Pop! Vinyls in this collection.
Growing up, I loved watching the Disney Afternoon weekdays after coming home from school. I am enjoying greatly that Funko is added these beloved characters to their lines, which is including action figures and the already released Mystery Minis. I hope that we see more from shows like TaleSpin, Chip & Dale’s Rescue Rangers, Gargoyles, Bonkers, and The Adventures of the Gummi Bears. Possibly could we even get some Wuzzles down the road? I can only hope.
