Despicable Deadpool #291 Review

Despicable Deadpool #291 is all about Deadpool killing Cable and bringing his heart to Stryfe (Cable’s clone) to help protect his daughter.  The issue features plenty of Deadpool comedy, such as being teleported butt naked and drinking on the job, which is what I want from a Deadpool comic.

Time travel makes this story much more complicated since that is a major aspect to Stryfe and Cable, so Deadpool adds some humour into how he struggles with doing the job and with time travel.

This issue is full of action and features a good twist that could only work with time travellers but makes total sense.  And while Deadpool travelled to the end of time to kill his best friend, the fact his daughters life is on the line, it’s completely acceptable from the readers point of view, so this issue follows up that aspect well.

As you’d expect from Deadpool, there is plenty of witty humour and delivers a different type of superhero story that is always welcome.

OVERALL:

Despicable Deadpool #291 is a fun read with lots of action and plenty of comedy, plus it continues to set up future episodes, with Deadpool taking on the evil version of Stevil Rogers.
