Amazing Spider-Man #793 Review
Amazing Spider-Man #793 continues the Venom Inc storyline, which sees Maniac using the Symbiote to control not just his henchmen but also Spider-Man. Resulting in a very different Spider-Man, which brings in Venom, Black Cat and Anti-Venom to stop Maniac and bring Spider-Man back.
One of my favourite scenes is when Spider-Man crashs the Daily Bugle and let’s rip on the team, plus the big fight scene looks very impressive.
It’s interesting to see Spider-Man fighting with his friends and having Eddie Brock as Venom being the driving force of saving Spider-Man, plus I really like how Anti-Venom is portrayed here as well. Though it’s going to be interesting to see who ends up as Venom, Eddie Brock or Flash Thomson.
I also loved how this comic book looked, especially how the black hood completely changed Spider-Man’s look. The style of art is very impressive and detailed, plus the contrast between the colours of Spider-Man and his alternatives like Venom and Anti-Venom jumps off the page.
OVERVIEW: A great issue of Amazing Spider-Man, with lots of interactions with other Spider characters like Venom, Black Cat and Anti-Venom, however we don’t really get to see much development of the main villain, Maniac. But it’s the bad “Superman 3” style Spider-Man that is so interesting.
