ESPN and Freeform Streaming Apps Now Available on Samsung Smart TVs

Disney and ESPN Media Networks have announced that they have collaborated with Samsung to bring the ESPN and Freeform apps to Samsung Smart TVs nationwide. Video subscribers will now be able to stream some of their favorite sports and entertainment programming.

On the ESPN App, this includes the upcoming Alabama-Georgia College Football Playoff National Championship presented by AT&T and ESPN’s acclaimed MegaCast production, the Titans-Chiefs NFL Wild Card game and the NBA, among other live events, clips, highlights and on-demand content. On the Freeform app, this includes the upcoming series premieres of “grown-ish” and “Alone Together” and the season premiere of the critically-acclaimed drama, “The Fosters.”

All 2017 Samsung Smart TVs will support the ESPN and Freeform apps at launch.

Streaming on the ESPN App is available to subscribers across all major traditional and digital pay TV providers nationwide. The Freeform app is a service that allows viewers with participating TV subscription services access to 24/7 live viewing of the network, as well as continued on-demand access via a wide array of devices. In addition to today’s launch, the apps are also accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and streaming devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
