21st Century Fox Picks Up 9 Golden Globes

During this weekend’s 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards, 21st Century Fox won nine awards, with seven awards from its movie division and two wins for its TV section.

Fox properties had been nominated for 39 different awards, with “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” dominating the awards show.  Though Fox did lose out to Disney for its animated movie nominations.

Here are the winners:


  • “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” (4)
    • Best Motion Picture – Drama
    • Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama: Frances McDormand
    • Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture: Sam Rockwell
    • Best Screenplay – Motion Picture: Martin McDonagh


  • “The Shape of Water” (2)
    • Best Director – Motion Picture: Guillermo del Toro
    • Best Original Score – Motion Picture: Alexandre Desplat


  • “The Greatest Showman” (1)
    • Best Original Song – Motion Picture: “This Is Me” (Music and lyrics by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul)



  • “Fargo” (1)
    • Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television: Ewan McGregor

  • “This Is Us” (1)
    • Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama: Sterling K. Brown
